Resumen
Actualmente, no existen instrumentos en México que evalúen la limerencia debido a la poca atención recibida por este constructo, además de su confusión con otras condiciones psicológicas. Por ello, el objetivo del presente estudio fue traducir, adaptar a población mexicana adulta y determinar la validez de la Escala de Limerencia de Wolf y Lemay que evalúa la sintomatología limerente a través de un análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio en una muestra total de 600 adultos universitarios mexicanos. Se obtuvo un modelo de 6 factores con 26 ítems, α= .898, que muestra buenos índices de consistencia interna en cada factor y propiedades adecuadas de validez de constructo, concurrente y discriminante. Por lo que se concluye que la Escala de Limerencia es un instrumento válido y confiable para usarse en población adulta mexicana.
